TRANSFER OF TELEPHONE CONNECTION TO THE LEGAL HEIRS

AFTER THE DEATH OF THE ORIGINAL HIRER OF TELEPHONES
WHOM TO APPLY

APPLY TO THE COMMERCIAL OFFICER (CENTRAL) MAHANAGAR TELEPHONE NIGAM LIMITED, NEW DELHI-110050 ALONGWITH THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS.

 

1. Attested photocopy of the death certificate of original hirer of telephone.

2. No objection certificate on Rs. 2/- stamp paper ( non-judicial ) from all the legal heirs

(as per proforma ).

3. Attested copy of the "WILL" or succession certificate.

4. Indemnity Bond on Rs. 2/- stamp paper ( non-judicial ) by the transferee as per the proforma.

5. Documentary proof of relationship with the original subscriber.

6. Photocopy of the last paid bill after paying all the bills.

 

TRANSFER FEE RS. 100/- (CHARGEABLE THROUGH FUTURE BILL ONLY )

NOTE : ALL PHOTOCOPIES MUST BE ATTESTED BY GAZETTED OFFICER/IST CLASS

MAGISTRATE. THE TELEPHONE CONNECTION CAN BE TRANSFERED TO THE NEAR . RELATIONS VIZ. FATHER,MOTHER,WIFE,HUSBAND,SON,DAUGHTER,BROTHER

AND SISTER INCLUDING STEP BROTHER OR STEP SISTER BUT NOT COUSIN.

GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFER OF TELEPHONE CONNECTION

IN CASE THE DECASED HAS LEFT A "WILL"

If the property is bequathed to one person, the telephone may be transferred to the person. If one person is not mentioned in the "WILL" the telephone may be transferred to any one of the beneficiaries in whose favour consent by the other beneficiaries as per "WILL".

IN THE ABSENCE OF A "WILL"

The telephone will be transferred to the widow/widower of the deceased in case widow is not alive or does not wish to retain the telephone the telephone can be transferred to one of the children residing at the station by mutual consent. If there is no widow/widower or children, the telephone may be transferred to the legal successor decided by the court.
